BOAT TRANSFER
HIGH SEASON (NOVEMBER-APRIL)
Our remote beach is NOT operated by any of the speedferry companies. Only a few companies stop at the jetty closest to our path, BuvaSea and G.T.V.C. Your destination port on the island will be Saracen Bay, from where you will start a ~35 minute jungle trek to Sunset Beach. You’ll find the beginning of the trail between THE DIVE SHOP CAMBODIA AND SUNNY BUNGALOWS
You can also transfer to M'pai Bay Village in the north of the Island with G.T.V.C speed boat and hire yourself a private transfer with a longtail boat for 20-25$ to Sunsetbeach
Please book your ticket with your guesthouse in Cambodia, any travel agency,
the ferry offices in town or online.

We do recommend not crossing the jungle in the dark. If you cant avoid

Respect for Khmer customs and our way of life will earn respect from the people, and so make your experience of Kingdom of Cambodia far more revealing and enjoyable. You can have a taste of this way of life in our home. Welcome…
Khmer are very friendly, respectful and warm-hearted people. Smile at them and you will earn back some friendly gesture. If you need any help all of us are willing to give you a hand and answer all your questions, but please be aware that not all of us here speak (fluent) english.
When entering your bungalow or the restaurant please take off your shoes and shower your feed. The buddha houses on our property are holy to our khmer staff and we
kindly ask you not to touch them.
Traveling in a Buddhist-Country you should also know the proper way to dress to not offend anyone around you. Of course you are on the beach … please go and enjoy it … but maybe don’t forget the top of your bikini ;-)
WILDLIFE … IN YOUR BUNGALOW
You are in the jungle now. So do not be alarmed if a gecko or a lizard visits your bungalow. Just tuck the mosquito net under your mattress to avoid insects and tiny animals in your bed during the night. Geckos are actually the best mosquito repellent you will find around here ;) Sometimes they even have eggs in the bungalow - we do not take them out to retain wildlife on this beach as it is. Just remember: They were here first !
